Pelanggan terkejut caj cabut gigi RM300 sebatang

MAHAL: Yong menunjukkan resit untuk perkhidmatan mencabut gigi yang diberikan kepadanya.

MIRI: Orang ramai yang ingin mendapatkan khidmat perawatan gigi termasuk mencabut gigi di klinik-klinik swasta perlu meneliti terdahulu harga yang ditawarkan bagi setiap perkhidmatan agar mereka rasa tidak tertipu atau melebihi bajet mereka.

Dalam dua minggu kebelakangan ini sahaja ada dua aduan diterima oleh pihak akhbar daripada pengguna yang mendakwa mereka ‘ditipu’ dengan caj yang terlalu mahal dikenakan, selepas gigi mereka dicabut.

Dalam kes terbaru pada 9 Januari lalu, seorang gadis berusia 19 tahun dari Batu Niah yang cuba mendapatkan khidmat mencabut gigi di bandar raya ini, terkejut apabila dia dikenakan caj yang di luar jangkaannya.

Gadis yang hanya mahu dikenali sebagai Yong, telah datang ke Miri untuk khidmat mencabut gigi di sebuah klinik swasta  dan terkejut apabila dia ditunjukkan bil berjumlah RM300 selepas giginya dicabut.

Yong berkata dia tidak menjangka sama sekali bahawa bayaran tersebut semahal itu (RM300), malah melebihi wang sakunya ketika itu iaitu RM150.

Katanya keadaan bertambah sukar baginya kerana ibu bapanya berada di Batu Niah yang memakan masa satu setengah jam perjalanan dari Miri.

“Saya tidak mempunyai pilihan selain menghubungi saudara saya di Miri dan meminjam daripada mereka untuk membayar bil tersebut.

“Saya hanya mengetahui bil yang dikenakan kepada saya sebanyak RM300 selepas saya selesai mencabut gigi,” katanya semasa mengadu kepada Utusan Borneo di sini, semalam.

Malah menurut Yong, beliau yang ragu-ragu dengan caj tersebut telah meminta bil daripada pihak klinik dan mendapati bahawa caj yang dikenakan RM300 adalah termasuk kos mencabut gigi RM240, ubat sebanyak RM40 dan RM10 untuk kapas.

Ibu saudaranya yang dikenali sebagai Chan memberitahu, dia turut meminta gigi Yong yang telah dicabut itu bagaimanapun pihak klinik menolak kerana ia melanggar prosedur perubatan, sebaliknya mereka hanya membenarkan Chan dan anak saudaranya itu mengambil gambar gigi tersebut.

Sementara itu pada dua minggu lepas, seorang suri rumah di sini yang turut mengadu isu yang sama memberitahu bahawa dia telah membawa anak perempuannya berusia 14 tahun ke klinik yang sama untuk rawatan menampal gigi.

Dia mengadu untuk rawatan menampal dua gigi anaknya yang berlubang itu, dia telah dikenakan bil sebanyak RM390 dan merayu untuk dikurangkan bayaran.

Bagaimanapun klinik terbabit menolak permintaannya dan memberitahu bahawa yuran tersebut telah ditetapkan dan tiada pengurangan.

Dia yang tiada pilihan terpaksa membayar caj tersebut dengan semua duitnya yang ada, lalu mengadu perkara tersebut kepada Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna di sini.

Bagaimanapun katanya, pegawai di tribunal menolak pendakwaan tersebut dengan alasan aduan perubatan adalah di luar bidang kuasa mereka.

Dalam perkembangan berkaitan, Jabatan Kesihatan di sini ketika dihubungi berkata kes seumpama itu hanya boleh diadukan kepada pihak kementerian kerana jabatan tidak mempunyai kuasa untuk menegur atau mengambil sebarang tindakan.

Sehubungan itu pihak Jabatan Kesihatan menasihati orang ramai yang ingin mendapatkan khidmat di klinik-klinik swasta supaya bertanyakan harga perkhidmatan yang ditawarkan sebelum mereka menjalani sebarang rawatan.

“Ini kerana perkhidmatan dalam bidang perubatan tidak ada harga yang standard dan tiada peraturan untuk itu, setakat ini,” kata jurucakap jabatan, ketika dihubungi.
